SAVAS was invited to clarify the development of the memory on the Forum that was held by the organization of this fair. Frans-Jozef van Seumeren reported the new seat-concept in front of an interested audience. The seat has a totally different construction than the traditional seat. The components are not established within the usual frame. Instead, there is one central spine to which all the parts are fastened in a way so they can move freely. Just like the human body.

SAVAS has again developed a seat for the TGV / French Railways (SNCF). This seat has been made for old cabines in which it is impossible to change the steeringwheel. So the train of thought was to then change the seat. A nice challenge for the SAVAS' R&D-ers. The seat that is officially named 'Jacques Goin de Beauchêne' - named after the French explorer - is fitted with an airlift, a small and low turning table, especially developed with Sittab and two height adjustments. Tilt to give space for the upper legs and depth adjustment.
The leg of the seat looks very compact. The back of the seat can be moved forwards. It is possible to turn the seat and drive while standing, leaned against the cushion. Suitable for the person described in P5-P95, so almost everyone. Technically the seat is easy to maintain by opening the fingerprotection. The seat is equipped with solid handles, lumbar support en firm collapsible armrests. Beauchêne is ergonomically optimal for this old cabine. The visitors of SNCF that came to inspect this seat were very enthusiastic.
